I am an orchestrator. What does that mean, exactly?
I take the written music by the composer, and I add instrumental color to help further tell the story.
Whether it is for theatre, dance, film or music, my job as an orchestrator is to be a storyteller. I am a firm believer that every musical, every production, every artist, and every piece of music deserves its own sound. Exploring how to expand a score with instruments from newly written music is what I love the most.
